Shillong, Sept 26: The Minister incharge forest Mr Lahkmen Rymbui in his reply to question brought by MR Mayralborn Syiem said that there are 45 numbers of license of wood bassed industries in the state.
The total numbers of sawmills operating in the state without licence are 177, in East Khasi hills there are 47 sawmills, in Ri Bhoi District 71 sawmills, West Jiantia Hills 51 sawmills and West Garo Hills 8 sawmills.
