Shillong, August 02: The Drug Reduction, Elimination and Action Mission (DREAM) hold crucial meeting being convened on the 1st of August, 2025, at 5:30 PM at U Soso Tham Auditorium, State Central Library, Shillong.
This meeting is being held in light of recent incidents across Shillong, where members of various Seng Samla Shnongs have been actively apprehending drug users and facilitating their admission into rehabilitation centres.
These tireless and selfless efforts by the youth groups towards community safety are commendable. However, DREAM recognises the need for professional guidance and intervention to support the Seng Samla in their endeavours.
In this connection, we are bringing onboard trained professional counsellors, with the objective to equip the youth members with the necessary knowledge and expertise on handling such situations safely, while also understanding the psychological dimensions of drug abuse, and also ensuring their own well-being while continuing their invaluable service to the community.
