Shillong, August 8 : In clarifications to the allegations made by the Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) Central Body , the parents along with candidates of Jaintia Hills district who cleared the written test as well as the physical test for the recruitment of Armed Branch (AB) and Un-armed Branch (UB) constable to the MLP 6th Battalion which was conducted earlier but were denied the right to appear at the Personal interview to be held on 12th August.
The Additional Director General of Police (TAP), BL Buam on Thursday briefed the media saying, “There is no human intervention in the entire enrolment process.”
Buam clarified that from the start the department has taken extra care in order to maintain transparency in the entire enrolment process. Buam further said “Technology like Radio Frequency Identification Device which records timing was used for runners at the time of physical tests. Selected candidates were then allowed to sit for written examination, in which a system of OMR was used.”
“The process of OMR sheets was scanned by a laser scanner, where there is no human intervention,” Buam said. In the process, 776 candidates were called for interviews for the post of AB constables and 1118 candidates for UB candidates.
Buam said that the entire interview will be conducted under CCTV coverage in order to maintain greater transparency and the candidates will be judged as in physical appearance and personality test, general awareness, leadership qualities, computer knowledge and communication skills.(SP News)
