Shillong, December 16: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma is playing politics with Megha Health Scheme Insurance (MHIS) since the election to the nine Meghalaya Lehislative Assembly is knocking at the door.
Though the Chief Minister has launched the MHIS on Saturday at Polo ground the people of the state has to wait for the slip to come to their respective houses to enroll themselves to enable them to get the facilities of the said scheme.
Sources told SP News Agency that, the MHIS which is the Nodal Agency for implanting the project has to convince different level of meeting to make the people understand about this. The MHIS will call for the District level meeting then come to the Block level and Village level then the slip will be issued to each house hole for enrolment.
The MHIS will cover both About Poverty Line (APL) and Below Poverty Line families but the head of the family has to process the Election Photo Identity Cards. At present people of the state cannot get to enroll themselves to avail the scheme since offices for the project is yet to open. People has to wait either thus who are in the Village or in the City have to wait till the slip come.
The question raised by many people from different quarter will the MHIS office will call for different awareness meeting if the election commission of India announced the election date to the State of Meghalaya, will the code of Conduct applied ?.(SP News)
