Shillong, April 04: Almost two platoons of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) today participated in Operation Clean Up, a River Cleaning Campaign at Umkaliar River spearheaded by Padma Shree Smti Patricia Mukhim, Editor of The Shillong Times and other like-minded organizations.
The SDRF led by three Inspectors participated in the River Cleaning Campaign wholeheartedly from 0800 hrs till 0915 hrs working hand in hand with other organizations to clean the heavily polluted water body, a tributary of the Wah Umkhrah river.
