Shillong, Feb 10: Showcasing the spirit of youth, sportsmanship and national unity, Unity Utsav 2.0 commenced today at Delhi Cantonment with vibrant participation.
Organised under the aegis of the Assam Rifles, the event marks the second consecutive edition of this unique sporting initiative, building on the success of its inaugural year and setting an inspiring tone from the very first day.
Unity Utsav 2.0 provides a dynamic and empowering platform for youth from the North East to showcase their sporting talent, competitive spirit and teamwork across multiple disciplines. More than 1,000 students from eight North Eastern States, currently pursuing their education in Delhi, are participating in this grand multi-sport celebration.
The event features competitions in Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Basketball, with matches being conducted for both men and women, reflecting the inclusive and progressive ethos of the Utsav.
The tournament not only promotes physical fitness and sportsmanship but also encourages healthy competition and mutual respect among participants. Beyond sports, Unity Utsav 2.0 stands as a symbol of integration, cultural bonding and national unity.
By bringing together students from diverse states under one umbrella, the event strengthens inter-state camaraderie and fosters a shared sense of belonging. It celebrates the rich diversity of the North East while reinforcing the spirit of unity that binds the nation together.
