A makeshift camp of UALA in North Garo Hills was busted by security forces

Shillong, Feb 11: A makeshift camp of the United A’chik Liberation Army (UALA) in Meghalaya’s North Garo Hills district was busted this afternoon by security forces.

Acting on the on tip-off at around 2:30 pm, commandoes of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and the Combat Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) raided the hideout at Ambare Chiring hills under Mendipathar police station.

Police source while confirming the report informed that during search operation they recovered two detonators, four numbers of fuse, many plastic tables and chairs, utensils, ration, blankets etc. However, militants fled away before the police team reach there.

Police is making every possible move to catch the militants.(SP News)
