Shillong, Aug 1: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has blame the state government which fail to submit the report by the committee which form on June to the tribunal, which force the NGT to reconstituted with the new committee which will be headed by the Additional Chief Secretary Mr KS Kropha.
Failure of the committee to follow the guideline of the NGT has also resulted to the delay of the transportation of coal from the state which is already extracted in the different coal filed in the state of Meghalaya.
The NGT on the hearing which helad to day in Shillong at the MHC said that the order that was issued on the 17 April will continued in Meghalaya to make sure that no unscientific, unlicensed and illegal coal mining without geeting environmental clearance in any part of Meghalaya.
The NGT has directed all the deputy commissioners, the superintendents of police to seek that the order of the tribunal is observed and the nest hearing will be on the 7th and 8th of October.(SP News)
