Shillong, July 26: BSF FTR HQ Shillong hosted Medical Seminar cum CME on 25th July 2014 which was attended by eminent doctors from NEIGRIHMS, Civil Hospital Shillong, Assam Rifle, CRPF, BSF and reputed Private hospitals of Shillong.
Such seminar cum CME are annual features for BSF with aim to enhance and update the knowledge in the field of medical profession and to know the latest development happening around in the medical field. As the doctors of BSF, generally remain on borders and far – flung areas of this vast country, they are not in regular touch of the latest development and advancement happening in the medical fields. In this medical seminar, relevant topic of N E Region, Management of Malaria cases, treatment of Hepatitis – B, treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy and Heart related topics were discussed.
This medial seminar was inaugurated by Dr Mukesh Saxena, IG/Director (Medical) of BSF. The delegates were welcomed by Shri Mahendra Singh, DIG, Meghalaya FtrBSF. During this annual event, speakers from NEIGRIHMS and BSF delivered lecture on different medical topics, which was deliberated by the eminent panelist from NEIGRIHMS, Military hospital &Civil hospital. Seminar ended with healthy interactive session, followed by presentation of memento & certificate of participation to all delegates.
