BSF nabbed Bangladeshi criminal

Shillong, November 16: The Border Security Force posted at BOP Naljuri  in East Jaintia Hills district  of Meghalaya apprehended one Bangladeshi miscreant namely Jahanur while he was trying to pick the stone from India territory.

In another incident, during the intervening night  of 15th/16th Nov’ 2012, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Tuka and Naya-Bazar Ex-108 Bn deployed in East Khasi Hills district  seized 17 Nos of Cattle worth. Rs. 1,29,075 ( One Lac, twenty-nine thousand and seventy-five) approx while being smuggled into Bangladesh.

Besides above, during the last week, BSF troops of Meghalaya Ftr, seized Cattle, wooden logs and other contraband items of the estimated cost of Rs. 11,14,000 (Rupees Eleven lacks fourteen thousand only).

Apprehended person and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
