Do not fall trap to fraudsters who offer cheap funds: RBI

Shillong, December 03:  The Reserved Bank Of India (RBI) has circulated a public poster to make people aware, not to fall trap to fraudsters who offer cheap fund from across the country, like wining a lottery and scholarship offer.

The RBI urged the people not to deposit or remit any amount to any account  to their account, the RBI dose not maintain any account of individuals, Companies or Trust to hold funds or disburse , the RBI will never asked people to deposit money in any account.

If any person or person who received such email or message refer it to the cautionary advices available in the matter at the RBI website(www.rbi.org.in). People can register a case with the local police station if they have already parted with their many to the offer of the froudsters.

The officer in-charge of the RBI in shillong Mr  P. Shyam Sunder told SP News agency that they have received a lot of complain from people that they have remit huge sum of money to thus fraudsters who lure the people to pay small amount in the name of processing fees or tax clearance. The RBI asked the people not to fall trap in the offer of cheap found. (SP News)
