Shillong, April 15: Along with the rest of the country, the devotees of Hanuman in Meghalaya also commemorated Hanuman Jayanti with fervour on Tuesday.
Early morning hundreds of devotees flocked the Hanuman mandir in Garikhana to worship lord Hanuman and later walked out in procession enchanting “Jai Shree Ram” from the temple upto Khyndailad back to the temple.
Hanuman Jayanti is one of the important festivals of Hindus wherein the devotees visit temples and apply tilak or sindoor on their foreheads.(SP News)
