Shillong, April 29: The 6th U Kiang Nangbah Memorial Inter Office Football Tournament organized by the Meghalaya State Government Employee’s Federation Sports Committee, Jaintia Hills Unit, Jowai held at Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Dongmihsngi, Ladthalaboh, Jowai concluded today.
In the Final Match played between the Police Department and the Public Health Engineering Department, the former emerged winner with 2-0 goals. The winning goals were scored by Miker Suting and Lammi Passah in 14 and 32 minutes time.
Shri D. P. Kharsati, Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills gave away the awards and the trophy to the winning team while Shri R. Muthu, Superintendent of Police presented the award and a trophy to the runners-up team.
Lammi Passah and Heimommitre Langbang were declared the top scorer and the best goalkeeper respectively while the Best Player title was bagged by Teibor Siangshai.
