Talking about the hurdles involved before the induction, he said, “I first mooted the idea that I wanted to induct women commando in the NSG, people really couldn’t believe it. I made it an issue and I inducted first a platoon of about 30 women, train them and today they are part of the NSG.”

Pointing out that a lot of women cross over from neighbouring country guarded by the BSF he said that decency needed to be maintained while frisking them he added, “Despite opposition. I took about six months to induce them and today there are two battalions now and they are very useful, the women components in the BSF and NSG are doing extremely well now.”

When queried about his birthday resolution, Mooshahary said, “I don’t have anything to resolve as yet. I am no longer that young now at 67, I would be happier to see that we progress from strength to strength as a nation and be able to improve the unison of the people of our state and of our country and to see we are able to live in peace and harmony and be happy.”

The governor who was serving his tenure for almost five years said that his five years tenure will be over in June this year.
