Shillong, July 25: Meghalaya Editor’s Publisher’s Association (MEPA) expresses shock over the manhandling and unprovoked attack on several local Journalists including a woman journalist, while they were carrying out their duties in covering the eviction of unlawful street hawkers and vendors by the KHADC.
Manhandling of members of the media fraternity by the street vendors and hawkers, is a dastardly act that is strongly condemned and abhorred. MEPA demands that the administration should take the severest legal action be taken against the perpatrators of violence and should be punished as per law.(SP News)
