Mooshahary lamented about the poor “work-ethic”

Shillong, November 07: Meghalaya governor Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary said that the key towards development and fast growth is hard work.

Addressing the 62nd foundation day of the Bharat Scout & Guides held at the Raj Bhavan Wednesday, Mooshahary lauded the initiatives of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides in educating the citizens of the state in various fields such as civic sense, hygiene besides others. He said the education provided by the MBSG helps the students become good citizens in life.

However, Mooshahary lamented about the poor “work-ethic” in the country which he felt is very poor causing stagnation to the “development” and “progress” of the region.  He observed, “India has too many ‘holidays’ and this calls for reformation for a better work culture.

 Meanwhile, forty-five scouts and fifteen guides from different schools of Meghalaya were awarded with the Rajya Puraskar Award for their excellent performance. Besides, two teachers P Tariang and S Diengdoh were also recipients of the award beside three scout masters for their meritorious services.(SP News)
