Shillong, Feb 03: Mr Donny Ranee, President of Meghalaya Wushu Association and Executive Council Member of Wushu Association of India will take part part as a Member of Jury and Judge at the 22nd Senior National Wushu Championship 2014 to be held in Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur.
The championship will start from 6th to 10th Feb 2014. Mr Donny is also leading the Meghalaya Wushu Team for the Championship. Mr Donny was respossible for bringing and conducting successfully the 1st Sanshou Wushu Cup 2013 which was held in Shillong last year in which Meghalaya Sanshou Wushu athlete bagged 5 gold medals for the state contended with 2nd Runners Up.
Manipur was the overall champion. Mr Donny well known for his technique in martial arts is also the President of Meghalaya Jeet Kune-do Association . In 2002 he took as the International Judge at the 2nd South Asian Wushu Championship held at the Talkotra Indoor Stadium New Delhi. Wushu is being introduced for the first in the Olympic Games in Beijing.(SP News)
