Shillong, January 21: On 17th Jan 2013, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Bagli Ex-73 Bn deployed in West Khasi Hills distt of Meghalaya apprehended one Indian exporter of Dakhar company namely Srikshon Dhaovso (60 yrs) s/o Howod Bari, r/o Vill- Mairang, Ps- Mairang, Distt- West Khasi Hills (Meghalaya) while he was collecting illegal money to the tune of Rs 1,00,000/-(one lakh) from one Bangladeshi national near BP No 1195/5-T. The Bangladeshi national managed to escape.
During the search, Ops party recovered 01 Nokia mobile with one BD SIM from the possession of apprehended exporter. This amount was meant for excess coal being exported from India to Bangladesh.
On 17th Jan’ 2012, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Naljuri Ex-108 Bn, deployed in Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended 02 Bangladeshi illegal immigrants while they were trying to infiltrate from Bangladesh to India near BP No. 1279/4-S.
During search Rs 12,545/-(Indian currency) and 01 Symphony mobile with 02 BD SIMs recovered from their possession.
In another operation on 17th Jan 2013, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Jatrakona Ex-132 Bn BSF, deployed in South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya seized 48 bottles of Phensedyl near BP 119/7-S. The Phensedyl seized was meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh. It is pertinent to mention here that BSF in conjunction with BGB has always been on the lookout of the psychotropic substances being smuggled out to Bangladesh
The apprehended person along with seized items have been handed over to concerned department for legal action.(SP News)
