Shillong, May 08: The Superintendent of police East Khasi Hill inform that the Hon’ble Court of Session Judge, Shillong convicted Mr Rajesh Rabha alies Raphel Rabha to life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of fine to undergo an additional 1(one) year imprisonment for the murder of Vijon Rabha.
The brief of the case is that on 20.3.2011, the convicted person, Shri Rajesh Rabha assaulted his colleague Vijon Rabha alies Rijoy Rabha (21 yrs) who later succumbed to his injuries, in the work place in Flavour Restaurant located at Laitumkhrah Police Point.
The investigating officer, Sub Inspector Lucas D.Sangma, presently Officer-In-Charge, Mawryngkneng Police Station was able to build up a strong evidence against the accused which subsequently led to his conviction on completion of trial.(SP News)
