Shillong January 09: The 8th Meghalaya Legislative Assembly has the total of 118 working days since the 11th march 2008 as the special session where the entire 60 legislator took an oath after the election till the end of the terms where the last session was concluded on the 14th December 2012.
For the first year 2008 the house has the total setting only 25 days, the budget session 10 days and the Autumn session of 5 days.
For the year 2009, the total setting is 37 days, for the budget session 21 days and the autumn session 11 days.
For the year 2010, the total sitting has come down to 22days, for the budget session 6 days Re- Assembly budget session is 11 days and the winter session is 5 days.
The session for the year 2011 and 2012 has further reduced to 17 days each. For the year 2011 there is only two sessions the Budget session is for 12 days and the autumn session is 5 days.
In the concluding year 2012 where the state will go for poll to elect the new members for the 9th house, has got three setting the budget session is 11 days and the Autumn and the winter session had 3 days each.(SP News)
