The budget session schedule to be held from March 14

Shillong, March 12: The State Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma announced that his government will work with a commitment to fulfill the expectations and aspirations of the Minister1people.

He also informed that his team along with him as a leader will work accordingly as per the mandate made in the election.

Sangma further said that he expects more coordination and endeavour from all the ministers and departments because the mandate  Congress got from the people also brings expectation to perform.

Addressing media persons on Tuesday after the first cabinet meeting which met today informed that he and his cabinet ministers are ready to work with commitment towards the benefit of the people, he also said informed that decision has been made in order to renew the committment both political leadership and bureacracy of the state in fulfilling the expectations and aspirations of the people.

Further, the cabinet also approved the names of the awardees of the Meghalaya Day Award recommended by the committee headed by the chief secretary.

The U Tirot Sing award an award for arts and literature will be conferred Dr Streamlet Dkhar, Pa Togan Sangma for Social Services to MEPAD secretary, Belbora Wankhar and Col (Rtd) Tauro Ignatius Donald and Kiang Nangbah Award for Sports to Garry J Lamare,

Meanwhile, the cabinet also approved the draft of the governor’s address to be read out on the first day of the budget session schedule to be held from March 14.

“We have approved the draft Governor’s Address after thorough deliberation.”
