Tura, August 17: The encounter took place this morning at around 6.45 AM between the police team consisting the SWAT and the COBRA with the GNLA militant at Bolmoram Adinggre nine kilometer from the headquarter District Williamnagar of the East Garo Hills District.
According to police report said that while the police where travelling that area the Militant shot at them and they retaliated back. There was heavy exchange of firing from both side but the militant mange to escape in the thick jungle.
The Police said that it was this same group who had blasted IED bom blast recently at near Nengkra and the area commander Jimmy was near by the encounter. In these encounter no casualty was reported from either side.(SP News)
