Shillong, October 31: A Maruti Ritz car travelling from Jowai towards Guwahati was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction at Umphyrnai under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills on the 31st of October, 2012 at 7:24 A.M. The incident occurred while the truck was in the process of overtaking another vehicle which was in front. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Smit helped in shifting Jemida Laloo (28years/female), Leela Chettri (27years/female) and Uttam Das (29years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
