ULFA man nabbed by BSF from Garo Hills

Shillong, January 01: On 30th Dec’ 2012, at about 1500 hrs, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Nokchi, Ex-114 Bn deployed in West Garo Hills distt of Meghalaya apprehended one ULFA Linkman/DGFI agent namely Gorango Hajong aged 25 yrs, s/o Basishto Hajong, r/o vill-Nokchi, Ps-Jenaighati, Dist-Sherpur (Bangladesh), while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh near BP No 1105/2-S. During search, the Ops party recovered Yaba tablet (Chemical drugs) 300 nos worth appx. Rs. 30,000/- , 01 Nokia Mobile and 02 Bangladesh SIM from his possession. Some mobile numbers of other Bangladeshi officials/agents were found stored in the mobile phone recovered from him.

During preliminary questioning, the apprehendee confessed that he was working with the ULFA and facilitating the trans-border movements of ULFA cadres. The apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to the concerned police station for necessary action as per the law of the land.(SP News)
