Urban Affair Minister Ampareen denied allegation on tempering score sheet

Shillong Nov 12: A day after the local NGO’s demanded resignation of urban Affairs minister and former education minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, following CBI probe which alleged irregularities in the appointment of assistant teachers in the government Lower Primary Schools in the state and indictment of former education minister for the role in manipulation of score sheets of the candidates, the minister came up with a statement that all the allegations against her are baseless and are not true to the fact however it was just to malign her reputation.

While denying the allegations unearthed in the CBI report that she was involved in tampering the marksheet of deserving candidates applying for the post of Assistant Teachers in government lower Primary School Lyngdoh while addressing a press conference on Tuesday said that she was not being informed of the development of the case ever since she had discharged her duties and had relinquish duties as education minister in the government of Dr Mukul.

She also said that she was totally unaware as she herself  have learnt with great surprise from snippets of information circulating in the press. “I am unaware neither am i authorize, neither do i have any knowledge about what is going on”, the Minister said. Meanwhile, she also said that whatever came up in the CBI report is just an attempt to malign her reputation.

Besides she also added that she would not disclose her plans of action against those who is trying to malign her, but she would seek the right justice at the right time and the right moment and in the right channel. But she said that she would wait for that day and since she was therefore justice would be delivered and anybody who says anything against her has to prove it in the court of law. (SP News)
