Shillong, August 03: The Joint Action Committee of All Meghalaya Teachers Association (JACAMTA) today in their meeting has given two weeks time starting from Twesday next week to the Meghalaya education minister Dr R C Laloo to call them for the meeting to discuss about their demand.
Speaking to SP News Agency the Chairman of the JACAMTA ED Nongsiang said that the joint action committee could not understand why Meghalaya education minister avoid meeting the organization.
Since they are unable to meet the minister to air their grievances, the organization has decided to give two weeks time to the minister to call for the meeting which will start from Tuesday next week. If the minister refused to call for the meeting they will have no alternative but to call for agitation.
From the organization they have met the Human Resources Minister government of India last year and they have demanded from the Union minister that state government should provincialise the services of the teachers no the School, but the government of Meghalaya provincialise the School not the services of the teachers.
The JACAMTA comprising of all the teachers of Meghalaya met the education minister in the month of February 2012 since then the minister refused to meet them thought they have seek appointment to meet him. (SP News)
