Shillong, Nov 28: The Border Security Force deployed at Tikrikila in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya and Meghalaya Police conducted an operation at the village Jungmait ,under Tikrikilla police station of the West Garo Hills District of Meghalaya .
In the operation the BSF apprehended an Oer ground GNLA identified as Toren Sangma aged 25 years from the from his residence with Tata vehicle bearing registration No. ML-07B-3087. The apprehended GNLA over ground confessed that he was working for GNLA outfit and involved in collection of extortion money and two days ago he collected Rs 2.2 Lakhs from Tikrikilla market for GNLA outfit.
Beside above, same day at about 0830 Hrs, on specific input, troops of BOP Kuliang Ex- 19 Bn BSF, deployed in East Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya apprehended 02 Bangladeshi illegal immigrants namely Kabiruddin aged 24 yrs, s/o Abdul Haque, r/o, VPS- Kanaighat, and Lilamay Das aged 35 yrs s/o Monindar Das r/o Vill- Mahesh Pur, Po- Lohaigaon, Ps- Kanaighat, both from Distt- Sylhet (Bangladesh), while they were trying to infiltrate into Indian territory from Bangladesh near BP No 1323/4-s. During search, party recovered Indian currency Rs. 4,800/-, BD Taka-113/-, Mobile -02 and 02 BD SIMs and some Medicine from their possession. (SP News)
