Shillong, June 01: The Police of East Jaintia Hills District inform that the Court of Smti. B. Khriam, Special ludge (POCSO), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has found Shri. Rephius Thamar guilty, and convicted him under section 3(a)/a POCSO Act,2012.
A Case vide Khliehriat Women Police Station No. 23(07)2019 U/S 3(a)/a of POCSO Act was registered at Khliehriat Women PS and investigated by WPSI. S. Kharsati.
The accused involved in the case Shri. Rephius Thamar was arrested and Charge Sheet was filed against the accused vide Charge-Sheet No. l0 /2020 Dated 18.08.2020 by the Investigating Officer.
After completion of trial, the Court of Smti. B. Khriam, Special ludge (POCSO), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has found Shri. Rephius Thamar guilty, and convicted him under section 3(a)/a POCSO Act,2012.
The Court has sentenced him to undergo “Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for Fifteen years with fine of 150, 000/- (Fifty Thousands only)” vide Order dated 06.05.2026.
