After 39 long years Thiedieng road not yet completed

Mawsynram, December 16: The people of Thiedieng village is woundering why the road constructed since 1973 one year after Meghalaya got the statehood till date the Public Work Department could not complete the road construction. The people of this village earn their living from the agricultural produce, Like Betel nut, betel leave, Oranges, broom stick and others. All these they have to carry on head load to come to Mawsynram Market for sale. The people living in this village are painterly waiting for the PWD department to complete the road construction for thirty nine long years. The road was under Mawsynram PWD Division, the construction of the road is continuing since 1973 but the work is in slow progress. The people of the village want to see that the government should complet the work to ease their problem.(SP News)
