Shillong, May 08: Today at around 12 noon the cyclone has hit Ri Bhoi District and the worst affected village are Sohpdok and Nonglum. In these natural calamities five people were injured.
The injured person three from Sohpdok Village and Two from Nonglum Village, which is under Umsning Constituency.
The injured person from Sohpdok Village include Smti Margret Kurbah and her two daughters Plilynti Kuarbah and Iadaphisabet Kurbah. They were taken to Umsning CHC for treatment. The others two from Nonglum village said to have minor injury.
The Cyclone has uprooted 22 house at Sohpdok and the numbers of houses that was damage at Nonglum Village and the numbers of houses is not known yet till filling of these report.(SP News)
