Jowai, 18th January: The First randomisation of Electronic Machines (EVMs) was today held in the Conference Hall, DC office Jowai in the presence of the District Election Officer, P S Dkhar.
The District Election Officer informed the representatives of the Political parties that randomisation is done to maintain transparency; he therefore called upon the representatives to clarify their doubts. He also informed that the EVMs will be set for election after the candidates are finalised in the presence of the candidates.
S. S Syliemlieh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, incharge of election explained the representatives present the objectives of randomizing the EVMs.
