Shillong, August 23: Just one day left for the “Rotary Sohra Marathon 2018” and above one thousand people from across the country have register themselves to participate in the marathon that will be held on the Saturday the 25th Augist 2018 begin from Saitsohpen in Sohra at 7.00 AM sharp.
The “Rotary Sohra Marathon 2018” was organized by the Rotary Club Shillong, speaking to SP News Agency; Mr Kailash Verma said that from among one thousand participants who have registered, two hundred are from the arms forces including the Police and the CrPF.
In this marathon two international runners will participate they are from Kenya and from outside the state most of the participant are from Mumbai, and many are from the North Eastern State.
The marathon has been categories into four part, Full Marthon, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km marathon. The minister sport Government of Meghalaya Mr Banteidor Lyngdoh will be present at the time of flag off. As schedule the governor of Meghalaya will flag off the marathon.
