Shillong, May 27: The president of the National People party (NPP) of Meghalaya State Unit Dr WR Kharlukhi said that due to unemployment that many young people of our state has joint the militant group.
Speaking to SP News Agency, NPP president said that, “Let us not blame, but try to fine out the solution to eliminate the disease”. He said the state government has no policy how to go about with the development activities in the state.
He claim that when they are in power for one year when they are in the NCP, their leader Mr Purno A Sangma has tied his best to make the Meghalaya State Planning Board as the policy guidance to the state government but this could not full fill when the government at that times collapse.
Answering to quires, he said recruiting minor by militant groups is not happing only in Meghalaya but in others north eastern state too, this is a concern for every body. To stop it’s needed to diagnose the disease.
Militancy problem crops up in the Country due to lack of development, we have seen in the country today the imbalances in the economy the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. (SP News)
