Shillong, June 03: The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guard of Bangladesh today hold an emergency Flag meeting at Dawki at the DIG Level. The venue that they have chosen to hold the meeting just at the bank of the River Umngot has put the villagers in great surprise.
From the BSF side told SP News Agency that the meeting was not an emergency meeting but its was a pre-arrange flag meeting between the Sector commander of Jowai and the Sector commander of Shylet from the BGB side.
The meeting was to discuss the bilateral issue related to both the countries India and Bangladesh, in the meeting today the BSF has apprise the BGB about the present of the militant band outfit the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) in Bangladesh soil.
The BSF had put forwards to the BGB that they should not allowed their people to cross the border for collecting stone from the Indian territory, they where also discusses about illegal smuggler in the border with both the country share their problems.
From the BGB side they have asked the BSF to stop smuggler who supply phynsedly to Bangladesh and others problems that they are facing in the border. In the meeting the BGB and the BSF has agreed to corporate each others tackling the smuggler that taken place in the border.(P News)
