Transfer the investigation to the CBI in case State CID is finding it difficult

Shillong, June 14: The governor of Meghalaya Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary asked the state government to start functioning the Captain Williamson Sangma Technical University as early as possible .

This was stated in a letter issued by the Governor of Meghalaya Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary to the government of Meghalaya on Friday.

The decision was taken after the governor asked the state government to consider the “dissolution” of the University.

The Governor also stated that if the Williamson Sangma Technical University started functioning the affected students could be given fresh options depending on their suitability it.

Besides, the governor also asked the government to file police complainrit for unauthorized withdraw of the Endowment Fund by the University.

Accordingly, he also asked the government to transfer the investigation to the CBI in case State CID is finding it difficult in view of the extensive ramifications of the case.(SP News)
