Shillong, August 01: Army Karate Trial was scheduled with effect from 28 to 30 July 2016 at Assam Regimental Centre. In the trials a total of 64 Karatekas from the Indian Army including 22 Karatekas of Army Karate Node participated. All achievers during the trials will be retained at Army Karate Node, Assam Regimental Centre for further training and will subsequently participate at National and International Karate Championships.
Individual Kata Sepoy Naeem Khan. He is also silver medalist in KAI Senior National karate championship 2013,14,15 & 2016,represented India in Commonwealth Karate Championship 2015.
Team Kata Sepoy Naeem Khan, HavaldarSujeet Kumar, Sepoy Yogesh Dwivedi. They are gold medalist in KAI Senior national karate championship 2016 and represented India in Asian Karate Championship 2015.
Individual Kumite Recruit Durgest Chauhan upto 50 Kg Category. he is also Silver medalist in in KAI Senior national karate championship 2016.
Recruit Gautam Saud 50-55 Kg category. he is also Gold medalist in in KAI Senior national karate championship 2016 and bronze medalist in Commonwealth Karate Championship 2015.::
Havaldar Sandeep Rathore 55-60 Kg category. He Gold and one silver medal in KAI Senior National karate championship from 2013 to 2016. Silver in South Aasian karate championship 2014. represented India in Asian karate Championship 2015.
Havaldar saurabh Singh 60-67 Kg category. He has won one Gold , one silver and two bronze in KAI Senior National karate championship from 2013 to 2016. represented India in Commomwealth Karat championship 2015 and asian karate championship 2015.
Grenadier karan Babu sonkar 67-75 Kg category he is also bronze medalist in KAI Senior National karate championship 2016.::
sepoy David Malsawmtluanga 75-84 Kg category he is also silver medalist in KAI Senior National karate championship 2016.
sepoy Ketan singh Thapa above 84 Kg category. he is won one silver and one also bronze medal in KAI Senior National karate championship 2015 & 16. represented India in Commomwealth Karat championship 2015 and asian karate championship 2015
