All adhock school should be upgraded to Deficit System :AMASSTA

Shillong, June 03; The All Meghalaya Adhoc Secondary School Teachers’ Association, today met the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma to air their grievances’ face by the adhock teachers in the state.

In the meeting the adhock teachers place their issued before the chief minister that there are 434 governments recognized secondary school in the state. The total  numbers of teachers who are serving in this schools are 2352 in all.

When it come to pay structure, they said that Teachers get a fix payment of Rs. 10,000/- and Hindi Teachers get only Rs.3500/- while science teachers get only Rs.11,000/-. The delegation apprise the Chief Minister that with this pay structure as grant in aid from the state government they fine it hard to meet their daily need.

In this meeting the delegation said that they have come to know from the Department that the department  has propose hundred percent hike in the salary and others proposal is to upgrade all the adhock  secondary school into deficit system.

In this meet the Chief minister Dr Mukul Sangma has given them a patient hearing to their grievances, and he assure them his government will look into all the problem place before him by the AMASSTA.
