Shillong, October 31: The NSS Unit of Balawan college, Umsning has observed “National Unity Day” which is the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the college campus today. The long day celebration began with the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” in which all the students took part in the cleaning drive within and outside the campus.
The day ended with the celebration of “National Unity Day” in which the Principal of the college, Shri J. Kurbah administered the oath taking ceremony to NSS volunteers and students of the college. Others present at the function included teachers, NSS programme officer and students of the college.
