Shillong, October 13: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) approves the No Objection Certificate (NOC) asked by the state Public Work Department (PWD) for the construction of the Western Shillong by pass road.
The Executive Member incharge land Mr Hedrian Lyngdoh told SP News Agency that the KHADC has already clear the NOC asked by the state government for construction of the Western bypass, starting from Mawmaram and it will connect Umiam Lake with the GS Road.
He (Mr Hedrian) also inform that since this road is touching both the West Khasi Hills District and the East Khasi Hills District, from the KHADC they have sent two separate letter to the Deputy Commissioner West Khasi Hills and East Khasi Hills District.
