Shillong, July 12: The The Dorbar Shnong of Mawsyram of Mawsynram today has clear claim that the Mawjymbuin Cave is a common property but in under the costodion of the Mawsynram Village Dorbar, the dorbar will not allowed the Seng Khasi Hima Mawsyram to claim on it.
The Secretary of the Dorbar shnong Mr PW Sohlang , said that all the government department take NOC from the Dorbar of Mawsynram village if they want to carry out any development work to beautified this cave.
The dorbar shnong was furious to see in the news that suddenly that the seng khasi Hima Mawsynram calin that this cave belong to them, with an agreement that they have sign with the Syiem. The dorbar seek clarification from the syiem Pa,im Amos Malangniang whih he refuse that he did not sign such agreement, the dorbar shnong is loking for the document.
The dorbar shnong today place an objection with the Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District Mr PS Dkhar, with a copy to the DGP and SP of the District. The Dorbar Shonong Mawsyram will never allow this cave to become a claimed the property by any one belonging to some religious community or groups. This is a common property and every one can visit the pace since this is a Tourist sport.
In recent years, a Yatra was conducted in this cave, the dorbar shnong never objected , it was only on the part of the NOC, where earlier the Syiem issued the NOC but this was resolved where the Dorbar shnong issued the NOC for holding “Yatra” in this cave with one condition that during the ‘Yatra” they should not distract the tourist and cleanliness should be maintain.
