Meghalaya Govt issued revised protocols for entry points for people comming from 11 States

Shillong, April 02: Meghalaya Govt issued revised protocols for entry points for people comming from 11 States, Para 2 B of the Protocols for Entry Points issued vide Order No. Health 94/2020/Pt.1/61 dated 18th of March, 2021.

In the revised notification issued today, is substituted as follows, “A negative RT-PCR report is mandatory for persons coming from the States of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh and Gujarat.

RAT negative report shall not be valid for persons coming from these States. The COVID negative report will be valid only if they were tested within 72 hours of their arrival at the entry point.

For those persons who do not have a COVID negative report, sample for RT-PCR testing shall be taken at the entry point on payment basis. Such persons shall proceed to their residence or place of stay and shall be quarantined until the test results are declared.”

This was stated by Mr Sampath Kumar, IAS Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya Health & Family Welfare Department in the press statement issued today.
