Shillong, May 28: The Director Meghalaya Health Services Dr Aman War inform that after the news was seen that NEIGRIHMS has asked patient to be deposit Rs.10,000/- at the time of admission from the health department of the state government has inquired from the hospital.
The Director said that after getting the clarification from the concern authority of NEIGRIHMS, it was clear that amount asked to deposit was for buying medicines for the patients admitted in the hospital.
The Hospital also clarified that since the attendant in the hospital who are looking for the COVID-19 patients are use to go and buy medicines from pharmacies that was there in the hospital compound.
In order to avoid the movement of attendant of the COVID-19 patients the Hospital has come out with this system that the medicines required will be bought by the staff of the hospital that they have asked to deposit the money.
The Hospital clarified that patients are admitted in the hospital even thus who do not have the amount of money during the admission time, this is the only arrangement to avoid movement of people from Covid wards, said Dr Aman war.
