Shillong, September 07: The “Shillong Endurance Motorsports Challenge 2016” will start on 14 and it will conclude on the 17th September, 2016 at Lum Kur Kharkongor Nongthymmai, Umphyrnai. It was anticipated that more than 200 people will participate on the festival from all over the North Eastern State, said Christopher Rani proprietor of the CR Project.
Speaking to media person at the Shillong press club, Mr Rani said that with the coming of this motorsport festival is to promote motor sport in the state. The CR Projects presents The Shillong Endurance Motorsports Challenge 2016, Meghalaya 1st Motorsports Festival.
The festival will have skill based competitions for Motor Vehicles under the categories of 4×4 Off-Roading, Autocross, Motocross, Royal Enfield, Non Gear Scooters, and Bicycle downhill trail.
The participants will be tested on their skills sets, endurance, knowledge and team work as they compete for Trophies and Cash prizes.
In order to promote Motorsports as a professional sport in the State, this event is positioned as an annual exclusive sporting festival that will include entertainment for spectators in the form of Live Music, DJs, Food & Beverage Stalls as well as a Game Zone for children.
Motorsports is an upcoming and popular sport in the country and this Festival aims at promoting Meghalaya as the hub of Professional Motorsports in the North-East and providing a platform for Participants to build their skills and hence equip them to compete in the National Motorsports Circuit of India.
