Shillong, September 09: The speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr AT Mondal , admit the no confidence motion, against him and the motion will be taken up on the last day of this autumn session after completing all government businesses.
The Speaker inform the house that the office have received a letter from Jamnes K Sangma on the 30th August last month under article 179 of the Indian Constitution, for wants of no confidence against the speaker for failing to carried out his duties.
As per rules 135 of procedure and conduct of business in the Meghalaya Legislative assembly, the speaker has asked the members to rise in their for thus who are in support the motion weather they have the required numbers one- fifth of the total number of the house.
The members form the opposite, the UDP, the NPP and the HSPDP rise to their seat ant they got the required numbers one-fifth and the speaker announced in the floor of the house, since they have got the required numbers who are present in the floor of the house the No confidence motion was admitted and the motion will be taken on the last day of the session.
