Shillong, November 16: In compliance of the order of the Hon’ble High Court in WP(C) No.229/2015 dated 10.11.16, On 15th November, 2016, Police along with Magistrate and Municipal staff conducted an eviction drive from Police Bazar to Motphran Point to ensure that no hawkers block the public footpath.
However, in spite of several request, one, Mr Prem Chand Shah was still operating his business at the G.S.Road, Shillong opposite Ajmeera Marble and refused to shift from the public footpath. The Shillong Municipal Boad has file an FIR against him he was arrested and a regular case was registered against him.
