Shillong, April 22: The Anti- Sexual Harassment Cell, Shillong College, today organized an interactive session on the topic “Sexual Harassment – Be Informed”.
Smti. Rebina Subba, Advocate, and former member Meghalaya State Commission for Women deliberated extensively on the types of harassment as well as on various government policies related to sexual harassment at the work place.
The Resource Person further enlightened on UGC guidelines to curb sexual harassment especially with regards to higher educational institutions and campuses.
The Vice Principal, Shri K D Roy also spoke on the pertinence of such issues and the need for an alert and an informed generation of students.The programme was attended by students and teachers from the various departments of the college.
