Shillong, July 27:The 2nd State Shooting Championship 2016 organized by the Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM) concluded today at the Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong. The two day championship was conducted by the officials from the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Shri Dhiraj Kalita and Miss Y. W. Leima.
Shri S.K. Jain, DGP, Meghalaya attended the prize distribution programme as the Chief Guest in the presence of Shri Mr. M.S. Rynjah, Executive Director, NEEPCO, Shri. John F. Kharshiiing, President of SAM, Shri. H. M. Shangpliang, Vice President of SAM and Director of Social Welfare, Government of Meghalaya among others.
The shooting championship is conducted for the two age groups of (Junior girls & boys) and 21 yrs and above (Women &Men) and ARC Team. The event includes 10 meter rifle, 10 meter pistol, 22 meter .22 standard pistol, 50 meter .22 peep sight and 50 meter .22 open sight prone position.
