Shillong, March 23: The Additional Director General, BSF of the Eastern Command Kolkata, Ms. Sonali Mishra, IPS during her visit to BSF Frontier Meghalaya reviewed the current security scenario and discussed various operational and administrative aspects of Border management.
She was welcomed by IG BSF Meghalaya Mr. Pradip Kumar, IPS and other senior officers on her 02 day visit from 22 to 23 March 2023. IG BSF Meghalaya briefed the ADG about the general security scenario along the Indo-Bangladesh International border of Meghalaya Frontier covering the deployment pattern of BSF battalions and domination plan.
The IG also briefed the ADG about the challenges along the Indo-Bangladesh border and measures taken to counter them. On 23 March’ 2023 ADG took stock of the administrative aspects, human resource and also inspected the grievance redressal mechanism.
She addressed the officers and Jawans during a Sainik Sammelan during which she emphasized on adopting technical solutions for safeguarding the border efficiently.
Later, ADG also called on Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya Sh. Paghu chauhan at Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the current security scenario on Meghalaya border.
The ADG also visited frontier campus and offices and interacted with troops. She also paid visit to Composite hospital Shillong to review preparedness and its endeavors to keep the force physically and mentally fit. ADG applauded the efforts and dedication of BSF personnel in safeguarding the International border of Meghalaya.
