Jowai, August 22: The BJP Meghalaya is celebrating the 70th Independence of India from 9th -23rd August, 2016. To mark the occasion tributes are paid to our freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our motherland.
On the 20th of August, tribute was paid to U,Woh Kiang Nang bah’s statue at Madiah Kmai Blai,Syntu Ksiar, Jowai.
The celebration was beginning by the National flag hoisting and National anthem and was followed by Jainta patriotic cultural programme.
Where the freedom fighter of our State U,Woh Kiang Nangbah’s statue was honored by Sri Shibun Lyngdoh BJP State President , along with his State officials.
On the 10thof August, the tribute was paid to Pa Togan Nengminza Sangma, in Chisobibra, Tura.
On the 16th of August, the tribute was paid to U Tirot Sing Syiem at Nongkhlaw West Khasi Hills.
Mr Shibun Lyngdoh BJP State President addressed the gathering and hand over the synopsis to the families of U,Woh Kiang Nang Bah.The other State BJP officials also addressed the gathering, on the history of the freedom fighter.
