The General Secretary of the Mawryngkneng Dorbar file FIR against the Govt PHC

Shillong, July 21: Mr Wanlambok Kharsati  the General Secretary  of the Dorbar Shnong Mawryngkneng  of Khyriem Syiemship on behalf  of the Dorbar today file the  First Information Report (FIR) with the officer  Incharge of the Mawryngkneng  police station against the Government of Meghalaya Primary  Health Centre located in the Village.

In the FIR,  Mr Kharsati stated that Primary Health Centre was had been created by the authority of the Government , after much anguish the village of Mawryngkneng and the adjoining areas  with the primary objective of thew alleviating the grievances of the villagers and easing and trouble face  by the people of the area by giving speedy medical treatment to any person affected by aliment   such was the anxiety  and aspiration of the people that the serving doctor in the Mawryngkneng PHC were look and respected upon.

In the FIR, mention that primary health centre act as the first point of contact between the villagers and the  medical officer and are supposed to be manned by a Doctor to be present and supported by others staff, yet the said PHC  has been left stranded where patient  who went for medical treatment in the PHC many a time have to return home with out getting any treatment or they have to go to shillong for treatment  since the doctor posted in the PHC has chosen to attend duty at her own convenient time or never turn out for work.

In the said Circumstance, it is eminent that the work culture of  said doctor posted in the PHC pose a great threat  to the lives of the  residence of the area due to the  doctor unavailability. The said PHC has no electricity in the main PHC building and luck of medicine, in the FIR said that  the doctor must be responsible for negligence of duty.

It also mention in the FIR that the dorbar has many time approached and request the concern doctor to take and show due responsibility as bestowed on the said doctor, haw ever much to their dismay the same has fallen a deaf years and  this has weaken the moral of the staff who were ready to work day and night  given their  best service  to patient.

In the Fir also mention that “ We place the instand FIR before the OC of Mawryngkneng to take note of the fact that in the event any untoward and unwanted incident occurs  or befalls on any patient  due to the absence of the said doctor, the said doctor shall be held liable for the same and due action shluld be taken.

The FIR was also copy to the Health Minister government of Meghalaya, The Hon’ble Registar general High Court of Meghalaya, for kind information and necessary action, the copy was also sent to the Commissioner and   Secretary  Health Government of Meghalaya and to the Director Health Services, health and Family welfare government of Meghalaya, The FIR was file today in the  Mawryngkneng  police outpost  in the presence of the Headman Mr Peter Lawai.
